I've missed you! And I hope you've missed me too! Everything is fine! We are still waiting for the arrival of our twin Grandbabies which could be any minute! We are over the moon excited to say the least!
I wanted to start out with my first post showing you what has taken place over the Summer and all the changes that have happened to get you up to speed!
So I thought the best way to do that is give you a little Summer home tour!
~Lets start with the front entry~
Everything is looking lush and green this time and year! I decorated my porch with a fun wooden monogram sprayed white for the yellow front door. I purchased it from an Etsy shop and I just love it! Green and yellow chevron pillows sit on the wooden bench. My boxwood topiaries are really thriving and I think they look great framing the yellow door.
As you step in inside I decorated the entry with some turquoise rubber boots that intended on using out back for the chickens! But they were so cute that I hated to get them covered in chicken poop! So for now they are being used for decoration with some white hydrangeas and fern. In back of them is the old oar that was Mikes Grandfathers. See his initials there!
Some shells and coral bring in the coastal feel!
I'm so excited to have a coffee table again! It's the Hemnes Coffee table in white from Ikea. I love the fact that it gives me another place to decorate for the seasons! I also changed out the rug to this Aztec black and white rug also from Ikea. You can find it here.
I decided to use yellow as my accent color this Summer. I mean does it get any Summery looking than yellow?? These pillows and throw are all from Pottery Barn and you can find them here, here and here.
When I bought this turtle shell from Pottery Barn I think my husband thought I had lost my mind! But now he thinks its pretty cool! Everyone that comes in points it out and thinks its really unique!
In my breakfast area fresh crepe myrtle clippings are easy and inexpensive. Fresh clipping are a great way to bring life into your space. Take a walk around your yard instead of buying something. You might be surprised at what you can create!
The kitchen got lightened up just by painting the EAT sign white. I also bought these new barstools from Ballard Designs. The wood and metal give my kitchen a little farmhouse feel!
Here in the dining room I brought in apple green and I think it compliments the navy great! The table is all set for a garden party!
And I couldn't forget about the back porch! I continued the apple green/navy combo with pillows and rug from World Market and this little bistro set from Ballard Designs. Its a great place to sit and have coffee or a cocktail and watch the chickens running around!
And speaking of cocktail...
I know!! Is this great or what? I turned this potting bench from World Market into a great little beverage station! It was so simple! Just by adding wine glass racks, bottle opener and a towel bar! It even has a dry sink that I fill with ice to store some nice Corona's!
So I think you are all caught up now! Thank you for stopping by and taking my Summer house tour with me!
Have a great day!
