Beauty Products I'm Loving And A Little Chicken Talk!

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

Hi everyone! Wow it's seems like a while since I've been here! I hope everyone is doing well! After we finished the dining room I'm not going to lie, I needed a break!! It seemed like it had been a whirlwind of home projects. We started the dining room project right after I put away the last of the Christmas decor and really haven't stopped! So things have been a little quiet on the blog front! But, I'm back and we actually are starting a whole new outside project, and if you follow me on Facebook and Instagram you've seen that we are getting chickens!

I ordered the coop yesterday and it will be here in a few weeks! I'm so excited I can't even begin to tell you! So I'll keep you guys on top of that as things progress. First off we have to clear a lot of land of giant azaleas and huge plants! We also are pouring a concrete slab to put the coop on, which will make cleaning a lot easier. So stay tuned because I think it will be a fun journey!

I know this subject is off the home decor train and chicken coop train, but as I'm sure I've mentioned before how beauty products are my second love! I'm actually thinking about doing more posts on beauty products and sharing what I've found that have worked for me!

I shop all kinds of stores, drugstore, grocery, high-end, online so these products are from everywhere and every price point.

I can't say enough about this product! I'm on my second bottle and it's made my skin so even toned, smooth and cleared some of the redness that I had. Since I'm in my 50's skincare is very important to me. I can honestly say I've never gone to bed with makeup on and my skin not moisturized. Now I feel like I need a little bit more than just moisturizer and this is the best.  I know it's a bit pricey, but trust me it's worth it.

Foundation is my obsession in makeup! I'm always searching for just the right one! Like I said before I have one from every price point, I counted 16 at one time! This foundation is by far the one that works for my skin. It blends seamlessly, not cakey. And stays on for hours and doesn't turn orange after a long day!

I love a good pressed powder. And I love a pressed powder that doesn't add color to what you already have on your skin! This powder is actually a greenish color and goes on invisible. But don't be freaked out about it! It does the job!

After foundation, I'm a lipstick addict! I'm always searching for that perfect lip color. For my coloring this color works perfectly! It has a good wear time too. I can put this on in the morning and it will stay on till lunch. Also I feel like as I've gotten a little (notice I said a little) older, dark lipsticks don't look great on me. This color is perfect for me, but there are many different colors to choose from.

Ok run don't walk to get this body wash!! It's truly amazing! I love St. Ives and this one is no exception. It smells of Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange so how can you go wrong? It's a 100% Natural exfoliant and promises to polish away little imperfections, all while smelling amazing!

My stylist gave me a sample of this, and I've been hooked since! This is the best moisturizer and melts into your skin without leaving a sticky film! Yuck! I hate that! It comes in fun colors and scents!

I don't know about you, but I have the hardest time finding eyeliner that stays on and doesn't smudge and give you raccoon eyes! This stuff stays put! I can go out in the yard and work (Yes I wear eyeliner)  and sweat and even rub my eyes and it doesn't budge! I can even do a little bit of a cat eye without it ending up looking like Amy Winehouse's eyeliner!

NEW FRAGRANCE ALERT!! This is my new go to fragrance for day or night! It's soft and not overwhelming. Some perfumes can give me a headache! With notes of French narcissus, neroli and sugared amber it smells divine!! Bonus: My husband loves it too!
Check back to see more of my chicken journey!
This was kind of a weird post combo! Beauty and chickens!
That's me!
