My Future PB Inspired Living Room Makeover!

Do you ever feel like you never stop thinking about changing up your home?

I know I do! I'm constantly adding, taking away, and trying new things. And my project list...forget about it! It never gets completely checked off!  Some are hits and some are misses that's for sure!

I don't think I could stop, even if I tried!

It's just what drives me! It makes me feel renewed, refreshed and productive.

Not stale, and caught in a rut!

But, I've been got up in a red/rust/burgundy rut phase in my living room for far too long. And why? Because of these!!

I've thought about recovering them or getting slipcovers. But recovering as I've found out is almost as expensive as buying new chairs (these chairs are probably 10 yrs. old)
Slipcovers  is another option. But would I be constantly straightening and trying to get them to fit right.

I don't have time for that!

Well I do...but that's a whole nother issue!

Now I think it's no secret that PB (Pottery Barn) is by far my favorite home store!

So with that I thought I'd share with you my Pottery Barn inspired ideas that I have for a few updates for my living room/dining room. Since they really are the same space.

This is my inspiration room!

Now I know I have a tan or what we like to call Oatmeal (PB color) colored sofa, (It's the Pearce Sectional from PB) but I think the blues and creams would look great on it!

If you would have told me 10 yrs. ago that I would want the color blue in my home at all, I probably would have laughed in your face...I really wouldn't, I don't think I've ever done that in my life or not intentionally!

But, I've had a new found love for it! I feel like it's so fresh, clean and airy!

It's what my living room is screaming for!

To lighten up!!!

This is the Buchanan armchair in the white performance canvas. I know what you're thinking, "White?"

If there was ever a time in my life when I could have white furniture, it's now. No boys living here anymore. Just Mike and I, and one grandchild, but I can handle her!

This is a sweet pillow. I mean "Home" doesn't it just say what it's all about?

I love the blues, greens, creams!

The palladian blue is the color that we just painted here in the guest room.

And the revere pewter is what we have painted here in our master bedroom.

So I'm thinking of doing the revere pewter in the living room/dining room.

Or possibly a greige shade similar. Greige is a cross between beige and gray.
You see how all the colors flow together?

Also I have our ceilings painted the same color as the walls. You can see the wall color in the first photo and part of the ceiling in the 3rd photo. It's a tan color and having standard 8ft. ceilings, I feel like the ceiling is falling down on me!
Can you say claustrophobic?

And here's the thing, I didn't like them from day one. But, I didn't have the heart to tell the guy painting them or the guy that was paying for them (Mike, my husband) that I didn't like them...

So there's a lesson in that. Speak up! I'm mean you have to live with it EVERYDAY!

Here's to a great week!! :)
