Empty Nest-The Reveal

The room is done! :)

Hang on to your hats everyone...the empty nest is no longer empty!  It seemed to take a lot longer than I thought it would take. But, that was mostly because of the long wait we had to get the floors installed.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. If you don't remember the before pictures, here's a little reminder:

This was our younger sons room and although the color wasn't bad, It was very dark. Also, this is not the way it looked when he lived here. It became a catch all for all my accessories that had no home!

I envisioned a room that was -
  A) All mine! B) Bright and cheery with pops of color! C) Girly!

I Think I Got It Right!!

Can I get a drumroll please...

You can read about the process and the mood board I created here, and progress pictures here
The daybed is from Ikea. It's the Hemnes daybed and it's great because it has 3 nice size drawers to store extra pillows and blankets.

The gallery wall was pretty easy to do. The frames are from Pottery Barn. It's their gallery wall in a box. It even came with different designs and templates. You can find them here

I'm not sure why I like the antelope head, they're very trendy right now, and I'm sure in a few years I'll think, "What was I thinking?" But for now I love it!

The gold foil "Hey Ya'll" print is from an etsy shop by a very talented designer Stephanie Creekmur
She has some amazing things in her shop!

I feel like the room is so bright and cheerful! The capiz pendant is from West Elm and it really adds a little WOW! to the room!

I love the little corner for our Grandbaby. Curtains are from Pottery Barn and the bamboo shade is from Lowes. The canvas of my Grandbaby is from Snapfish. And I figure I can add to it as more (hopefully) babies come along.

Complete with a little origami mobile that I ordered from Amazon. You can find it here.

The empty nest project can now be checked off the list of things to do! I couldn't have done it without my wonderful talented, supportive husband Mike! Who did the painting, trimmed out the window, hung the curtains, and put together that bear of a daybed! Love ya!!

If you'd like to know where more things were purchased, just shoot me a comment!

Hope you enjoyed the tour!
