How I Store My Makeup

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

If someone said rate what you love more, house decorating or makeup? I would have to think long and hard! Because for me there is almost nothing better than coming home from the store with a bagful of new makeup! Except maybe a bagful of new home stuff from say Target or maybe even Pottery Barn! I Love it…all! For me, I think makeup brings out the creative side of you and shows off your personality. Just the way decorating your home does. I have a long time best friend (you know who you are!) and she and I would always joke that, when you feel bad just put on a little more lipstick! The only problem with this addiction is storage. I'm not a hoarder by any means, but I do have a fair amount of makeup. And I do like to keep it organized and looking halfway attractive. I have a vanity table that I sit at to do my makeup. But, I want to repaint it and get a new chair or stool. So it's not picture ready now, so those pictures will have to wait. This is what I've come up with for the moment and it seems to be working out pretty good, as long as I keep rotating the old with the new!
Coffee Beans work great to hold all your brushes!
The picture above is an acrylic organizer from The Container Store, The drawers in the top picture are from, and the glass container with my brushes is a container that some flowers were sent to me in once.

I have another cheapy storage container with drawers that I keep in the linen closet to keep items that I just can't get rid of yet! See, no hoarding tendencies here!! How do you all store your makeup? I'm always looking for new ideas!
XO, Kathy
