Simmering Pot!

Sometimes it's the simple things in life that are the most uplifting of your spirits!  I don't mean to get all philosophical on you, but it's true! It's the simple pleasures in life that can be the most amazing! Like the smell of fresh rosemary, lemon, and vanilla. You can't get more simple than that! I have been known to have a sensitive nose (more than you need to know I'm sure!) So one thing that is important to me is for my house to always smell good. Even when I haven't cleaned lately! Which is never! Wink! Wink! Or when you're feeling a little blue for what ever reason. Smells can change your mood for sure!

This little concoction has been floating around Pinterest for a while now, and I love it! They say it is the smell of Williams-Sonoma. That they have this simmering on their stove all day, and that's why it smells so heavenly in there all the time! I'm not sure if that's true or not, I just know that I LOVE THIS SMELL!

This is very simple: You need a small stockpot filled 2/3 full with water, 1 lemon, sliced and a  few sprigs of rosemary. I always keep rosemary growing somewhere in my garden box or a pot. Because I use it for everything even in decor. Put a few sprigs in a small vase and put it in your bathroom for instant freshness!

Then add 2 tsp. vanilla
I let it simmer all day long, adding water as needed. You can use the same mix for about 2 days. Then you'll need to change it. Your home will smell citrus-ey with the warm vanilla and rosemary! Try it and see if it doesn't lift your spirits, even just a little bit!
Take Care!
